This is a warning for all internet users, you could be hosting child porn and not even know it. One of the latest malware threats does just that.

What could be worse then being accused of looking at and even hosting child porn? Not knowing it! A new malware threat is surfacing that puts child porn on your PC without you even knowing it, then allowing the script author to view and serve it to others using you as the host.

We have all heard of many people being charged with child porn activities, but what if they didn’t know they were hosting it?

There have been millions of malware attacks on the PC but none can be as bad as this one as this one will destroy your life. Imagine being accused of such a thing and have no idea what prosecutors are even talking about. Families ruined, jobs lost and reputation lost, not to mention the mental agony.

Quoting Symantec spokeswoman Marian Merritt:

“It’s quite possible for a malware creator to include child pornography as part of the payload on an infected computer,” according to Symantec spokeswoman Marian Merritt, but “such payloads are not typical.”

Most malware authors, Merritt said, “are motivated by money, and there’s no clear indication as to how planting child porn on an unsuspecting person’s computer would help generate money for criminals.”

A virus can be repaired with a simple reformatting, but your reputation can’t.
